Values and corporate culture

as a competitive advantage

The world of work is undergoing a historic transformation: Digitalization is replacing workers with new technologies, while other areas are lacking a large number of skilled workers. The competition for these skilled workers is enormous. In addition, highly educated Millennials are on the market, seeking both entrepreneurial and personal development in their working lives.

Corona specifically has also changed the way we collaborate. Home office has blurred the lines between working and not working. As a result, demands are also rising. People want more freedom, flexibility, quality of life. Companies face the challenge of dealing with these developments in the right way.

Values and corporate culture are the linchpin for this situation.

For many decades, numerous studies have proven that companies with a good culture and shared values have clear competitive advantages. In the changing world of work, this is all the more true now. When shared values, visions and an appreciative approach are firmly anchored in the company, a culture can take root that moves much more than just a perfectly polished strategy.

Corporate culture as a success factor:

INCREASED ATTRACTIVENESS

Greater attractiveness for customers, business partners, suppliers through clear value awareness

Highly efficient RECRUITING

More concise employer branding and more efficient recruiting, as the focus is on applicants with the values that match the company

More effective communication

Clearer and more effective communication at all levels - in teams up to top management

Healthier work

Greater resilience and healthier working, especially in critical times, through strong inner cohesion

Higher revenues

Higher revenues through greater employee identification and willingness to perform

Values, appreciation, value creation

My approach

Managers directly shape companies and make a significant contribution to a good corporate culture. That is why I support managers in organizations to establigh an appreciative and people-focused culture in which values such as trust, openness, transparency, and personal dialogue are central. The results are more satisfied, highly engaged employees, fewer conflicts and a better culture overall.

Excellent performance thrives on employees who feel valued as people and can contribute with commitment.

THE BASIS

Measuring culture with Barrett Analytics

The basis for a good corporate culture is a culture measurement, which makes the corporate values visible and discussable. Only then positive cultural change can take place.

For the culture measurement, I use Barrett Analytics (Culture Transformation Tools), a science-based methodology that has been in use for over 20 years in over 90 countries.

The analysis creates the ideal basis for working with managers:

MEASUREMENT

Entire organizational cultures or just sub-areas of your company can be measured in a differentiated manner with Barrett Analytics and based on this developed in a targeted manner.

DEPTH

Individual important topics that emerge in the analysis can be deepened and worked on further in individual coaching sessions or workshops with all employees.

LEADERSHIP QUALIFICATION

Value analyses (e.g. leadership self-assessment or 360-degree feedback) that are specifically applicable to individual leaders or whole leadership teams help to develop their competencies.

"With Ms. Polei, we determined the value framework of our company. Her sound guidance helped us to clearly define what is really important to us and what constitutes us at our core. She is very good at adapting to challenging interlocutors and immediately grasps the point."

Culture analysis with Barrett Analytics

Your advantages

With Barrett Analytics, you quickly and efficiently get a clear insight into how things are going in your company, how high your employees' willingness to perform is and which topics should be worked on. Together, we uncover deficits and potential conflicts and counteract friction losses. Even problems that still lie beneath the surface can be discovered and dealt with at an early stage.

Barrett Analytics is a method with depth

The values and basic attitudes of all people in the company are taken into account. The results immediately show how your company can develop further and leverage potential from the perspective of everyone involved. The results make it possible to agree on and implement concrete changes in the way we work together. In a cultural development plan, we define the necessary measures to make your company fit for the challenges of the future. Building on this, a corporate vision can then be developed that is jointly worked out and accepted by all.

According to my approach, everyone can and should participate in the corporate culture. Because by developing and taking into account shared values, employees can identify more strongly with the company and show greater willingness to perform. Higher earnings are the logical consequence.
